INPS, now the suspension of contributions also applies to artisans and traders

The suspension of the obligation to pay contributions also affects craftsmen and traders. The INPS specified this in a note, referring to the deadlines of 18 May 2020 (first installment of the contribution on the minimal year 2020).

Traders and professionals who have opened their business after March 31, 2019 are entitled to the suspension of social security and welfare contributions and premiums for compulsory insurance. For all others there is a stake revenues and fees, which must not exceed 50 million euros in the 2019 tax period, and the decrease in turnover or fees, which must be at least 33% in March and April 2020 compared to same months of the same period of 2019. For those who exceed the threshold of 50 million euros, the suspension is only possible if the decrease in turnover or fees by at least 50% compared to the months of March and April of 2019.
