According to News i Agency’s Foreign Policy Group, “Hossein Gharibi”, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brasilia, wrote in a tweet referring to the recent resolution of the Brazilian Senate: The Brazilian Senate approved the resolution of forming a friendship group with Iran in this assembly by consensus.
Noting that this is the first resolution of its kind in the Brazilian Senate, he noted: “The friendship group in the House of Representatives and the new friendship group in the Senate are two powerful arms to advance the 118-year-old Iran-Brazil relationship.”
It should be noted that in Tuesday’s session of the Brazilian Senate, the resolution to form a parliamentary friendship group between Brazil and Iran was approved by consensus in this parliament with the aim of developing relations between the two countries.
Referring to the 118-year history of relations between the two countries, the resolution emphasizes the role of the Brazilian Congress in promoting bilateral relations.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brazil, Hossein Gharibi, congratulated the people and government of Brazil on the resumption of the official activities of the Iran-Brazil Parliamentary Friendship Group in a message on the occasion of September 7, the one hundred and ninety-eighth anniversary of Brazil. The Iranian ambassador to Brasilia also mentioned in a statement the expansion of bilateral relations and the removal of possible obstacles in order to strengthen and promote bilateral relations in all fields in the post-Crown period, including the characteristics of the Iran-Brazil parliamentary friendship group.
