According to News i Agency’s International Group, Airbus has agreed to send 38 new Eurofighter fighters to Germany.

According to news sources, under Airbus’ new agreement with Germany, the company will send 38 new Eurofighter fighters to the German Air Force. This agreement makes Germany the largest client of this type of fighter and the largest military program in Europe.

The project, called Quadriga, involves the delivery of 30 Eurofighter single-pilot fighters and eight Eurofighter two-pilot fighters. Three of these fighters are to be equipped with FTI and monitoring equipment during the flight test.

The Eurofighter Typhoon is a twin-engine multirole fighter. The aircraft is designed and built by a European consortium of three companies, BIG Systems, IDEAS and Alenia Aronatica. Typhoon is a very agile fighter with high ability for close air combat.

The German Air Force has taken on the task of protecting the airspace of Estonia and Lithuania in the form of assistance to NATO. The NATO Air Battalion has been operating in the Baltic since 2004.
