According to News i Agency’s International Group, Qais al-Khazali, the secretary general of the Asaeb Ahl al-Haq movement in Iraq, today (Saturday) reacted in a statement to the remarks of “Kenneth McKenzie”, the commander of US terrorist forces in the region.
“The recent remarks by the US Central Command are a clear indication that the US government is not serious about withdrawing its troops from Iraq,” said the secretary general of the Asaeb Ahl al-Haq movement, according to the Sabrin News Telegram Channel.
Qais al-Khazali continued: “If the denial is not immediately issued by the Iraqi government, [این عدم واکنش] “It would mean that the government’s claims about the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq would be invalidated, and that what is being said openly is contrary to what is being said in secret.”
“One by one, the Americans are arguing that the language of dialogue and logic is useless to them, and that the Afghan method is the only way to drive them out,” al-Khazali concluded.
“Iraq wants us to stay and we will not reduce the number of troops there,” the statement said in response to a recent statement by the US terrorist commander.
The remarks came as Baghdad announced after the third round of strategic talks with Washington that the presence of US troops on its soil would be limited to military advisers and training.
