According to News i Agency’s International Group, Sheikh “Qais Al-Khazali”, Secretary General of the Asaeb Ahl al-Haq Movement in Iraq, addressed the latest developments in Iraq during a speech on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir.

According to the news site The covenant Iraq The secretary general of the Asaeb Ahl al-Haq movement said of the White House news of the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq by December 2021 that the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq was an illusion and that the al-Kadhim government was only claiming success in strategic talks with Washington.

“Unless practical steps are taken to oust the Americans, the resistance groups will not be deceived,” he said.

Al-Khazali said the resistance would continue until the actual withdrawal of foreign troops from Iraq.

The secretary general of the Asaeb Ahl al-Haq movement also called on the Iraqi prime minister to speak openly about the final statement of his meeting with Biden at the White House and to emphasize that no American air bases remain in Iraq.

Al-Khazali said: “We need the clear words of the Prime Minister to confirm that no US air base remains in Iraq.

He called on the Iraqi government to set up a parliamentary committee to look into the issue of non-violation of Iraqi sovereignty by the United States and to introduce US military bases.

He called the US presence harmful to Iraq and stressed that the committee should have the right to enter Ayn al-Assad without warning.

The secretary general of the Asaeb Ahl al-Haq movement said: “US training during the existence of ISIS in Iraq and the Taliban in Afghanistan has proved its failure.

He also called the statement of the Al-Kadhimi government that the international coalition came to Iraq at the invitation of the Iraqi government a big mistake and said that such talks would be to the detriment of Al-Kadhim himself.

Sheikh Khazali said the Iraqi constitution prohibits the presence of any military forces in the country unless parliament agrees.

He stressed that al-Kadhimi’s statement that the international coalition was in Iraq at the request of the Iraqi government was unconstitutional.

He also described the cessation of military operations by the Iraqi Islamic Resistance against the occupying forces at the same time as Mustafa al-Kadhimi’s visit to Washington as a result of good coordination between the resistance and the Shiite Coordination Committee.

“The Shiite Coordinating Committee has called on the resistance groups to set up a temporary ceasefire in order for Al-Kadhimi to visit Washington successfully,” he said.

Sheikh Al-Khazali added: “The resistance also stopped its military operations in honor of the brothers of the Coordination Committee during Al-Kazemi’s visit to the United States.”

The Iraqi Prime Minister met with US President Joe Biden on Monday to discuss various issues and stressed the need for the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq on December 31, 2021.
