Curtain on the Cannes Film Festival 2021, with the supreme award given to the film “Titanium”. French director and screenwriter Julia Ducournau won the Palme d’Or on July 17 during of the closing ceremony of the 74th edition.

The 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 17 to 28, 2022, indicates Tuesday, July 20 the Twitter account of this event, the most important in the world dedicated to cinema, whose 2021 edition has just ended.

The 2021 Festival, the first edition since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, awarded on Saturday July 17 the Palme d’Or to a 37-year-old French director Julia Ducournau, for Titanium, after almost two colorful weeks. She is the 2nd woman to win this award, 28 years after New Zealand’s Jane Campion and the Piano Lesson.
The jury this year was chaired by the American director Spike Lee.
